Icosahedron Tutoring Services provides individualized instruction primarily in chemistry at all levels of the high school and undergraduate curriculum. Physics instruction is available at the high school and introductory college level, and mathematics tutoring is available for high school curricula as well as calculus.

The tutor:
Adj. Professor Matthew Stavis received a B.A. in Chemistry from Oberlin College, and a M.S. in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry from U.C. Berkeley. A former Pacific Northwest National Lab Graduate Fellow, Matthew has taught at U.C. Berkeley and is now Adj. Professor of Chemistry at Laney College in Oakland, California. With over six years of teaching experience at the college level, and well over a decade of experience as a chemistry, physic and math tutor, Matthew can help even the most troubled of students excel in the sciences, and earn top grades.

Tutoring Rates
One-hour session $50
Multiple-hour sessions $40 per hour

A sliding-scale tutoring program is available for students with proven need, with rates as low as $25 per hour.
